Carnuntum is currently one of the most dynamic wine regions of Austria: the next generation takes over, many wineries went organic, it is the first region with red wine Erste Lage wines. So many reasons to explore the region – and to list its wines…

What is Carnuntum?
The winegrowing region in easternmost Austria has been the scene of brilliant development in recent years: from being an underdog to becoming one of the best red wine regions in Austria. In recent years, growers have invested a lot of work in the development of individual vineyards, especially accentuating the diversity of soils & microclimate; these efforts were crowned in 2018 with membership in the Österreichische Traditionsweingüter (ÖTW). And then in 2019, Carnuntum became a DAC region.

Why might this be interesting for you?
Despite numerous awards for their red & white wines, Carnuntum’s producers remain a real discovery, and most of the wines are still very reasonably priced.

How can one discover Carnuntum?
If you don’t offer Carnuntum wines in your portfolio at present, Carnuntum’s growers would like to invite you to spend an in-depth day with them, to learn about the region and its wines, and to explore the commercial options.
