Dorli Muhr works organically on 11 hectares of vineyards, exclusively on poor limestone soils of the Spitzerberg in the very east of Carnuntum. The main focus of the winery is Blaufränkisch, a continental red wine grape on the Spitzerberg that produces wines of mind-blowing aromatics and silky finesse. What fascinates is how dense and complex the wines are, even as they impress with a lively freshness. That is why the wines can mostly be found in restaurants paired with elegant, subtle cuisine, and in the private cellars of Burgundy aficionados. With a small production of just 40,000 bottles per year, the boutique winery of Dorli Muhr is still an insider tip, despite top ratings and trophies.
