Weingut Michaela Riedmüller (only 7 places left)

The signature of the winemaker: linear, full of emotion, extraordinary. Michaela Riedmüller’s vineyards are on two of the most fascinating sites in Carnuntum: on the hillsides of the Spitzerberg and the Braunsberg. Both are — from a geological standpoint — spurs of the Little Carpathians, and are a mere ten kilometers apart. Similar in some ways, and yet also very, very different. The two nature conservation areas feature sandy-loamy and calcareous terroir, the humidity of the Danube and two rare plants (Wild Pink and Purple Cowbell) that have roots here. These characteristics all are part of the pull for the winegrower. One thing has long been clear: the vines and the grapes provide all that is needed to produce highly distinctive wines shaped by their origin. In 2015, Michaela took the reins at her parent’s estate in Hainburg on the Danube. As such, she assumed responsibility for the entire production of wines from its roughly seven hectares of vineyards.

Michaela Riedmüller presents the following wines in person:

2018 Federnelke white
2018 Federnelke red
2019 Hainburg white Carnuntum DAC
2019 Carnuntum DAC Rubin Carnuntum Zweigelt
